Keeping our city clean is a very serious issue and challenge that we are facing in every major city in Tanzania, which is causing a very serious problem to our environment and health sector.
The proposed project seeks to promote awareness in plastics waste management by giving the public all necessary information needed to hold the government and companies accountable, at the same time educating the communities.
One of the objective of JET is to help the government, within the scope of JET’s work with environmental sector, to ensure sustainable development through adoption of international standards.
Media can play a very big role in awareness on plastic waste management.
The planned activities for the project are:
Online training for journalists to report on Plastic Waste
Conduct investigative/in-depth reporting on Plastic Waste (Field visits)
Publication of features, radio/tv programs on Plastic waste
