Bloqueplas: Structural Building System made of recycled plastic
Long description
The Bloqueplas recycled plastic houses are built in an average record time of 5 to 7 days, consuming 6 plastic tons for each housing unit, which allows the recovery of 4200 tons of plastic per year, and among its many benefits is that its components allow the house to be cool, comfortable and safe. The properties can be of any size, the smallest prototype house measures 42 m2 and has a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms.
These houses do not have any type of adhesive, which allows the construction to be faster, impacting the building cost.
Its components have the property of being thermal, acoustic and electrical insulators, they are maintenance free and allow any finish such as flattening, painting, tile, mosaics, etc.
These houses have met the strictest quality tests for seismic resistance, complying with the Colombian NSR-10 regulation, since they can tolerate earthquakes of approximately 8 on the Richter scale, as well as tolerance to direct fire of 700 degrees Celsius and a pressure of more than 7 tons of weight in columns and 1.5 tons of weight in beams. Tests approved by the Pontificia Javeriana University, Andes University and Valle University in Colombia, so the components are guaranteed against fracture or breakage.
