Compost Revolution

I would like to develop a cross cultural bridge from the South to the North. We would be bridging a project that brings an organic residue management community/ social technology created by a ‘favela’ women’s group in Florianopolis to Amsterdam. It is called in Brazil the “Bucket Revolution” (revolução dos baldinhos). We can start in Amsterdam an experiment of the “Bucket’s revolution”. In Florianopolis, a group of women started collecting organic residue in buckets to compost, as an ecological project to keep the urban environment clean and healthy. It evolved into communitarian organic food (urban agriculture project) and even they opened up a communitarian kitchen that promotes social communitarian bonds for an ecological way of life. I would like to promote this cross cultural educational project, enabling these ladies that are communitarian leaders to teach their social technology that can be tested and adapted for Amsterdam.
