Sustainable ready-to-wear made in México using Natural & up/re-cycled fabrics. Working for a future with a natural origin.
Long description
At Origō Studio we focus on creating sustainable garments made from certified and natural organic fibers, such as organic hemp, Cactus vegan leather, organic cotton, “peace silk”, among others; as well as recycled materials (cotton, polyester/PET) and up-cycling.
We also have the support of artisans from Oaxaca and Chiapas, many of our pieces are made with their looms, in different natural fibers, which make a difference in reducing energy consumption in the creation of textiles. Due to concerns about environmental and health risks associated with the use of synthetic dyes, we use natural pigments/dyes such as avocado and Indigo.
By being committed to fair and safe working conditions for those making our clothes, we’re telling the world that it’s not only what we do, but how we do it, that really matters. We ensure fair remuneration to all our workers as well as artisans, respecting the legacy of their craft and art.
Origō Studio is a Slow Fashion Mexican brand, we make 4 to 6 pieces per design, avoiding overstock and waste of resources.
Because every details counts we use compostable, zero-waste shipping bags, made from cornstarch, cassava roots & sugar cane. Our labels are 100% organically grown cotton, printed with CPSIA compliant ink, certified free of heavy metals and phthalates and our care labels are handmade in 100% natural unbleached cotton. To have a more circular system we use eco-friendly plantable tags, handmade with post-consumer materials, embedded with seeds. So it all comes back to the earth naturally.
